PENTAIR WATER TREATMENT’S PLYMOUTH PRODUCTS INTRODUCES NEW FILTER HOUSING DESIGN

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. – March 4, 2002. To complement its wide selection of water filtration products, Pentair Water Treatment’s Plymouth Products has added a new filter housing. The new ¾-inch-port housing has been designed from the ground up for greater strength and versatility.

The ¾-inch filter housing offers several new features. The housing is crafted using Buttress threads for a stronger, longer-lasting design, while a patent-pending, leak-proof O-ring seal eliminates the potential for bypass in critical applications. However, because the housing is designed to be dual-sealing, it still has is capable of use with standard knife-edge sealing cartridges. In addition, an optional mounting bracket cap is available for convenient placement, and an improved pressure relief button offers greater responsiveness.

Furthermore, the ¾-inch housing unit now accepts both standard size and larger cartridges – up to 3 1/16-inch diameter – for use with high-capacity systems. The sump is available in both reinforced polypropylene for excellent chemical resistance and a clear Styrene-Acrylonitrile (SAN). The clear design makes it quick and easy for users to inspect the filter for servicing.

The housings are available in 10- and 20-inch lengths and are ideal for a range of applications, including residential, commercial and industrial.

Pentair Water Treatment (www.pentairwater.com) is known for marketing Fleck Controls® valves, Structural® pressure vessels and cabinets, WellMate® tanks, CodeLine® membrane housings and now Pentek Filtration filter housings and cartridges.
